Following the highly debated trade of Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers, a dedicated Dallas Mavericks fan has taken action by creating a GoFundMe campaign. The goal is to fund billboards calling out Mavs general manager Nico Harrison and the Adelson ownership group.

These billboards are set to appear around the American Airlines Center as a direct message to the team’s leadership.

The fundraiser, titled “Dallas Deserves Better: Anti-Nico & Adelson Billboards,” was launched by lifelong Mavericks fan Jacob Posner. Sharing his frustration, Posner stated:

“Trading away Luka Magic has left a deep void in the hearts of Dallas fans. By banding together for this billboard campaign, we’re sending a strong, undeniable message to the Mavs’ front office: We refuse to be overlooked, and we deserve better decisions.”

As of Monday morning, the fundraiser has raised over $50,000 toward its target goal of $82,600. The funds will be used exclusively for billboard fees, with any additional money potentially being used to expand the campaign throughout the city.

The deal that sent Luka Doncic to the Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a 2029 first-round pick has sparked outrage among Mavericks fans. Many believe parting ways with a player of Doncic’s talent was a major misstep, leading to an outpouring of frustration across social media and other platforms.

The billboard campaign has gained strong support from the Mavericks community, with many eager to see their concerns displayed near the American Airlines Center. To further involve fans, Jacob Posner has encouraged supporters to contribute creative designs and slogans for the billboards, making it a collective effort.
